Dress Policy

 

Community Christian School has chosen to have its students wear uniforms.

GIRLS: 

  • Khaki pants or capris.  No leggings or jeggings worn alone.  All pants should come to the waist, (no hip huggers).  No excessively tight pants. No spandex. No cargo, carpenter, denim, stretch or sweat pants.

  • Khaki shorts, skorts, skooters, jumpers. These should be no shorter than 4" above the knee.  Leggings may be worn under skirts and jumpers and  must be in solid white, royal blue or black. 

  • White, royal blue or black polo shirts, short or long sleeves.  Shirts must be at least 3" below waist line.

BOYS: 

  • Khaki pants. May have pleats or flat front.  No cargo, carpenter, denim, stretch or sweat pants.  Pants are to be worn at the waist, no sagging.

  • Khaki shorts. These should be no shorter than 4" above the knee.  

  • White, royal blue or black polo shirts, short or long sleeve  Shirts must be at least 3" below waist line.

ALL:

  • Royal blue logo shirts. Must be worn for chapel (Wednesdays) and field trips

  • Black logo jacket. For use inside the building.

No outerwear jackets, coats, hoodies, sweatshirts or sweaters are to be worn inside the classrooms. Only the black logo jacket will be permitted to be worn indoors. No exceptions!

Moderation should be used in makeup and hair color. Neutral shades of nail polish may be used. No jewelry should be worn. 

No hats inside the building.  No high heels. All sandals must have a back strap. Slip-on sandals (flipflops) are not appropriate. 

Occasionally there will be times in which clothes other than uniforms will be permitted.

All clothing should be modest  For both boys and girls, clothing should cover the shoulder and torso; have sleeves and a modest neckline. Hemlines should be no less than four inches above the knee. Students are allowed to wear shorts during periods of hot weather. Midriffs and underwear should never be visible.

There is both acceptable and unacceptable wording, pictures, and logos on many clothes today. Clothing worn to school must be consistent with Christian beliefs. For example, a shirt advertising beer or a rock group would not be permitted.

 All clothing should be neat, laundered, and free from stains and tears.

Shoes are to be worn at all times, unless permission is given otherwise by the teacher for an occasional activity.
